Layla Zia
Layla Zia (They/She) is a learning experience design expert that helps organizations to develop, improve and assess programs to improve diversity, equity, inclusion, and access practices. They study the organization’s current climate and help the leadership to identify next steps and goals toward equity. They develop experience-based learning programs for the staff and analyze the progress. Throughout their work with clients, they focus on tangible outcomes and sustainable changes through strategic planning and human development.
The organization’s dedication to social change, innovation, and equity is truly significant. It shows in every project, every move, and every person on the team. That is also, initially, what made me passionate about working with impakt.
That I used to teach astronomy to grade 5! It was one of the most amazing and inspiring time of my career. My students and the journey we took together is what inspired me to continue my career regarding equity in education.
Education justice, and accessibility is what matters the most to me. It is a global matter and it shows in every small or big society. Education equity in organizations directly impacts people’s development and the company’s innovation. At the school level, it directly impacts the next generation knowledge, attitude, and skills. That being said, I think any type of investment in educational equity and accessibility is worth it!
